Cars Changing Lives, a car giveaway ministry, was founded by Bill and Sandy Long, Owners of The Auto Care Clinic. Our Mission is to provide a person in need with a free, safe and reliable vehicle which will greatly improve their life.
All vehicles given away are done solely through referrals from assistance organizations in our community. Cars Changing Lives works with any nonprofit or church in five surrounding counties. We rely on these partnerships to ensure that we reach the candidates who are seriously in need of a vehicle and are working hard to improve their lives, but LACK transportation.
Please use the following requirements to determine if your client is eligible to benefit from our services.
Your candidate will be placed on our Waiting List until we have a vehicle available for them.

- We target one safe, working vehicle per family
- We do not provide donated vehicles to families with an existing vehicle; if so, they may need to agree to donate the existing vehicle to our ministry.
Qualifying Clients:

- Able to afford to maintain a vehicle?
- Are currently receiving assistance towards achieving independence?
- Are actively trying to achieve independence?
- Over the age of 21; have a valid driver’s license and able to obtain Proof of Insurance?
- Are able to afford the title transfer fees?
Request Process:
- Follow Case Manager/Pastor Guiding a candidate through process
- Under Need a Vehicle?, complete and submit Candidate Referral Form
- Please include any background information about how your candidate is deserving of a free, used vehicle. All information will be kept confidential but will be used to determine candidates with the most need.
Request Follow Up:
- Once we receive your request
- You (the case manager) are our primary contact channel to the client
- Clients may NOT contact us directly
- It will not help them receive services
- It is against our policies
- It will consume our limited resources
- It will delay requests being completed
- Clients may NOT contact us directly
